Questions we usually get
Does our company need a whistleblower scheme?
Yes, if you have 50 employees or more. The requirement follows from the Danish Whistleblower Act, which implements EU Directive 2019/1937. It has applied to companies with 250 or more employees since 17 December 2021, and to companies with 50 to 249 employees since 17 December 2023. Companies in the financial sector and companies covered by the anti-money laundering rules are covered regardless of size.
How long does it take to get started?
Half an hour. We set the scheme up together with you: logo, colours and welcome text, and the portal is live on your own URL with its QR code.
How many reports should we expect?
It depends on size, sector and how clearly the scheme is communicated internally. A common rule of thumb is around one report per year per 250 employees.
How do you keep the reporter anonymous?
The reporter chooses between full anonymity, a pseudonym or an identified report. Communication is encrypted end to end, and the dialogue can continue both ways even when the reporter is anonymous. The QR code is generated locally, so no data is sent to a third party.
What do you use the AI for?
To support the case handler through the case. It gathers the report into a summary, suggests a category and next steps, and keeps track of deadlines. It decides nothing. Everything can be changed, and the judgement always rests with the case handler.
