This feature is a response to the growing need for more client-controlled data security. Private Tenant enables customers to fully utilise DataMapper while ensuring that their data is stored within their own Azure tenant. A key outcome of this feature is the guarantee that customer data remains within their control, never leaving their tenant, thus giving the possibility of using the customer’s own security configuration.

Tenancy represents a fundamental architectural choice of how an application or service is deployed so a client and a provider can access it. There are 3 different models, each with significant implications for both providers and client.

1. Multi-tenancy involves serving multiple customers from a single instance of the application. Data and processes are logically separated, but underlying infrastructure and code are shared. Resources are pooled and shared among users. However, this can pose challenges in terms of data isolation, security customisation limitations, and the fact that performance issues can affect multiple tenants simultaneously.

2. Single-tenancy model means that each customer has their own instance of the application, completely isolated from other users. The application will still be hosted via the service provider’s infrastructure.

3. Private-tenancy is essentially the same setup as a Single-tenancy model but underlining that this solution will be using the customer’s own Azure tenant. This require the customer to manage security around their own tenant, as well as providing the infrastructure for the instance. Private-tenancy offers maximum control and possibility of tailoring security.

Private Tenant empowers customers to store and process all their data within their own Azure tenant, no matter where it’s located globally. This ensures that data remains within the customer’s control, adhering to any specific security and compliance regulatory requirements they may have. Additionally, customers gain access to our advanced AI engine (AIM), which is shared among customers. This will not only facilitate cost savings by eliminating the need for separate AI infrastructure but also ensures rapid deployment of updates, as AIM is designed not to store data.

1. Company Account Creation: Initiated by Safe Online’s sales operator. 
2. Email Notification: An invitation link for signing up is sent to the customer. 
3. Simplistic Onboarding Flow: Guides the customer through the setup process. 
4. Seamless Integration: Customers can access DataMapper directly through their Azure tenant after completing the sign-up process.
